Sahar Boussard is an abstract expressionist artist based in Montgomery County, Maryland, creating original acrylic paintings inspired by the beauty, movement, and energy of the natural world. She holds a BFA in Studio Art, with a concentration in painting and film photography, from the University of Maryland.

Her abstract paintings are known for their bold use of color, expressive mark-making, and richly textured surfaces. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Sahar builds each piece through layered applications of heavy paint, resulting in one-of-a-kind contemporary artwork with depth, movement, and visual impact. Her work draws inspiration from flowers, landscapes, and organic forms, capturing the emotional essence of nature rather than its literal representation.

In 2025, Sahar founded Artwork by Sahar to fully pursue her professional art practice. Her original abstract artwork is available for purchase online and at select in-person art events throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
